3/11/2018 – Around 07:30, West Lake was dispatched for a smoke investigation in the area of West 12th Street at Marshall Drive. Erie Airport called it in stating there was a large amount of black smoke in the area. Millcreek Police and Erie Airport Police arrived and notified dispatch that it was a working mobile home fire. Chief 481 arrived on location and confirmed the working fire. Engine 482 and Engine 483 responded. Engine 482 arrived first due and deployed a 1.5” and 2” hose line and performed a transitional attack. Crews hit the fire from both the A and D sides before going interior. Engine 483 and Engine 472 (West Ridge) assisted with water supply. Ladder 489’s crew assisted with suppression. Fire Police had West 12th Street shutdown from Clifton Drive to Marshall Drive.
MPS transported on patient with laceration and burns to UPMC Hamot. Chief 481 had command.
