My dad had lots of friends in WLFD. I would've joined there but there was a waiting list when I was old enough. I ended up joining Lake Shore....they were actually closer since we lived across from the airport. That's where my FD career started...the rest is history

I have some pics in a photo cube of a much, much younger me visiting station 1. I'll have to send them sometime. That's where I became interested in ambulances.
